I watch the show "90 Day Fiance" It addresses the need to find romantic interests in other countries. Seem like more trouble than it is worth in most cases. I think men like to be taken care of and women, having been the caregivers find a certain freedom in not having to care for anyone but themselves.

Depends how shallow you are. If you're in it for the looks well they'll eventually fade. I think you're more of a person if you look beyond skin deep.

Maybe it's because many Western women have become bitches the last 10 or so years, so they turn to younger women to have a better partner. Many women in the West want a career without marriage so men are turning to East. I think there are many reasons why older men want younger women, and it is easy to put all the blame on older men when women are part of the problem also.

I would go 5 years younger but no more. In my opinion, younger men assume that older woman have money but they are wrong in many cases.

Because they cannot find an equal in their own countries. Women in their own country don’t want to put up with the shit, demands, and sagging old bodies, yet be expected to be supermodels who are amazing cleaners, and amazing in the sack. Much easier to find someone who is not an equal to control.

I think a lot of older men are lonely and these young women need a way out of their povety so they marry.

Most young Australian females prefer young men about their own age. Older females have gone through life, most having raised a family, worked, cared for a home and husband or looked after their parents. None of that usually, and I do say usually, men don't do much or any of that. So in other words females can stand on their own feet while men have mostly had things done for them, they can't cope alone so search for a desperate female in a poor country who is looking for a way out. Look out sucker, here I come. And before you all dump on me, it happened in our family. Having got the ring she set out on a world trip, he didn't want to travel, and no-one ever saw or heard from her again until the paperwork arrived for her share of "their" assets. As the old adage goes, there is no fool like an old fool. We still get a laugh all these years later.

An older woman may be experienced in all aspects ,but physically she may have aged & a young body is lovely to look at the sad part is the man has an aged body & it is sad an older woman has more trouble finding a young man with a young body .Such is life

Being an older, single woman, I wish is was the other way around. Where does this leave us old ladies who have lost our looks? The old double standard! I don't give a crap about money or material things. It's all about not being alone and having someone to support you emotionally. I have my own money and don't need theirs.

I know of at least three. To me for the women it's away of getting into the country as all three have stayed with their older men and once the time allocated for them to be able to stay (they must stay married for so long) & not be deported they file for divorce. I know some are happy marriages but an awful lot aren't.

you have a car thats getting on,its temperamental,clunky,dosent start when you try to start it,overheats too fast and spits the dummy,needs constant attention. You can trade it in for a newer more sleeker model thats smooth to drive,starts and goes like a rocket first time every time,keeps its cool,it still needs attention but no heavy demands

I know this happens a lot and I personally amongst my friends don't know of this happening. I am younger than my husband and I keep telling him your only as old as the woman you feel, in which he laughs. Seriously if that's what they want and they aren't hurting any one than okay but I do question the ages of some of these girls. Don't agree if they leave a family to do this and it is riff in places like Bali and Thailand. Some girls do this so they can leave and move to a better country, provide for their parents and other siblings sending them money when they can. I get all of that but no I wouldn't want to be one of them as they can suffer terrible abuse and are made to do things they necessarily don't want too do all in the name of marriage that they have chosen to do.

I live in Bali. Most of my male friends have a wife who is younger than them. Most of my female friends have husbands who are younger than them. Others have chosen to remain single. For many of them this is the only wife or husband they have ever had. My wife is 25 years younger than me. We have been together for 21 years. However none of these are "mail order". I met my wife while working in Sulawesi. Most of my mail friends worked on oil rigs and lived in Asia so met their partners while working in those areas. These are the guys who still earn $70,000 US per month and their company pays for their flights. A flight from Perth to Bali was around $500 pre Covid so is a long way from the large amount of money mentioned in the question.

My uncle many years ago got a mail order bride from the Philippines and its been great for him. They are still married and very happy.

If you can't find a partner of an age somewhere near your own then maybe you should look in the mirror to see why not! Having seen a number of these old men with their young wives none of them look happy - in fact they look downright miserable. Something I have never understood about so many women/men is that they have this "need" to always have a man/woman in their lives and they seem to change them on a regular basis. Is this because they live in some sort of world in which the grass is always greener on the other side of the road. I had a partner for 30 years until death came along and whilst we had a lot of fun, and ups and downs too, I have no desire to go through it all again.

I totally disagree with that comment about older women....Have you not heard of the word "Cougar" which refers to older women dating YOUNGER men..... There are obviously a lot of older women doing this otherwise they would not have come up with a name for it.
