I will admit I am old (not dead - yet - I do have one foot in my grave) - I do not use either (my guess will be heat bags would be safer). If I am feeling cold - I will reset my smart thermostat. If I am in pain - I will scheduled a video chat with a nurse (with my health plan)! Unfortunately, you can't take your money with you when you die - I will spend my money making my last days (or years) enjoyable!

Hot water bottles are extremely dangerous my mother in law got severe burns when the bottle burst,heat bags are much safer if you got to use them

Hot water bottles for me. Yes they keep the heat and I just use hot water from the tap so can be used immediately. I find the heat bags smell to be honest.

Have never used heat bags, used hot water bottles in the past, now a nice warm shower hits the spot. Soft drink bottles can also suffice if you don't have the other two. In the olden days bricks were warmed on the wood stove and wrapped in cloth to warm up the bed.

I only use heat for muscle issues - I no longer own a hot water bottle - they end up leaking!!! In bed I would use an electric blanket if I needed extra warmth but I dont these days.

I don't even have a hot water bottle anymore. I do have a heatbag though which I use occasionally when I have joint or back pain that doesn't go away. I also have ice packs which I sometimes use depending on what type of pain I have.

Heat bags far less dangerous than hot water bottles. Must remember to put 1/2 glass of cold water in the microwave with the heatbag when warming it. Any heatbag sold should contain that warning.
