I think this kind of thing comes down to other people not feeling good about themselves inside to be able to tell another to act there age people can be them we don't have a right to tell another how they can be. There is the obvious saying a t your again and this can be true sometimes if a full grown women was crawling around on the floor kicking and screaming we all might think act your age lady but then again OT could be a dare so I think people need to stop and think before they say those words act your age be cause you never really know what's actually going on.

Never ever feel bad about how u have to present yourself just be natural... age will come dont let that make u feel your age

Sometimes older people can act their age in a much less tolerant manner, then I think it's time to reflct and act as though one is much younger

People don't believe I'm 62 , especially people at the gym. When they ask I say "take a guess & then I'll tell you ". The most common reply is "50" so I'll take that any day.

I have no idea what 'acting your age' is supposed to look like & quite frankly wouldn't give a rats. I'd probably tell them to go take a long walk off a short plank, but in much more colourful language.

i dont think there is a rule book that tells you how to act at any certain age. It's the old saying, you act as young (or old) as u feel. I'm 65, sometimes I feel 100, othertimes I feel well not quite teenager but much younger than I am!! (which I get told by others). It's your outlook on life that dictates how you act I think. So at the end of the day, who the fark really cares how you act/feel? as long as you are not hurting anyone then stuff them!

I always act my age and I'm always aware of whether the clothes I wear are age appropriate. There's nothing worse than mutton dressed as lamb.

I dress to be comfortable as long as everything that needs to be covered is. And always try to act in a way that is appropriate so as not to offend others. The t-shirt you bought is great.

I don't remember anyone saying anything to me like that in my lifetime, but there's a lot I can't remember anymore! Oh, they do say I'm too skinny now that I've lost down to 134 pounds, at 5' 2", but never said I was fat at 180 pounds! Go figure? ;-D

You feel young that's great; I have turned seventy a few months ago and I don't know how I'm supposed to feel either, I tell people I still like I'm in my forties, I'm lucky that I still have my health.

To a certain extent your dress should be able to match your maturity. But it’s not necessary to overly think about it. If you dress nicely everyone will admire you disregard of your aged appearance. Sometimes, the real aged people appear younger than their age and some very young age people can look old. Age is something you can’t judge by one’s appearance itself. Therefore I would be taking it easy. Good Luck!

If someone told me to act or dress my age, I would have two choice words for that person!! I'm not interested in being a cookie cutter version of everyone around me. Some people like to be sheep, I'm not one of them.

I love that saying. No I have never had anyone say it to me. I am pretty normal with no outrageous behaviour. However, I do feel the young kids of today especially the young girls have lost the ability to be kids. They all want to be social influencers etc from a very young age. The way some of them dress is inappropriate to say the least and I am never sure what their parents are doing or thinking. Nothing wrong with still having an inner child as we age though.

That last comment says it all! I love that. I'm 71, and my brain sometimes thinks I'm a child. If I want to talk to objects or have conversations with myself, I do! I believe in having a good time until my time is up. Where are the rules that say how we should act at a certain age? In this age, it's all about being YOU! That's what I've decided to do. Yeah ironically enough they were part of the psych team meant to be supporting me but instead they carried on that there something else wrong with me coz I wasn't dressing like people my age (other teens) 🙄

I have seen that top before, it's great. I'm 56, feel like I'm still in my late 20's. No idea how I should dress, I dress for comfort and special occasions. I have only been told I don't look my age, my guess is that were being polite, but I don't care. Age doesn't really define anything apart from voting etc. The only issue I have is that the second you turn 50ish people think that's old, when does old really start? It goes both ways as well, our future is in the hands of ***** so they should practice what they preach.

Funny and very cute. I am a big kid at heart so no one has told me to act my age although my Mum did say to me recently you never grew up did you because I was trying to make an apple skin snake. Well what is the fun in being so serious? We used to joke and laugh a lot with my parents but since my sister has come onto the scene it's all doom and gloom. Mum has dementia, you can't talk about that. The list goes on and on. Lighten up and enjoy life. Be as kooky as you want, make people laugh, we need more of it because every thing these days has to be so politically correct. Stuff their politically correctness right out the window, it has gone way too far and we can't enjoy life any more our way, the way we see fit.
