I believe in everything we do in life . We have a choice and a consequence behind that choice whether it be a bad one or a good one.

I have only just come across this discussion, so i apologise Walter for the late reply. But I really want to say this... I pride myself on not passing judgement. Working in Child Protection Services for 16 years and fostering many vulnerable children during that time, I learned of the importance of the first 1000 days (from conception) on brain development, in a child's life, Not every child born in this world is given the necessary care, love and nurturing attention required for their brain to develop in a healthy way. Fast forward 18+ years, and these people are making choices. Often life-changing decisions that they felt were the right choice for them at the time. Ever heard of Survival Mode? Fight or Flight? There is often poverty, or addiction issues, mental health... the list goes on Where I am going with this is, who are we to judge? What right do we have to pass judgement? We are all responsible for our own actions sure. But hey, why can't we live with compassion in our hearts and empathise with those who may not have had the best start in life, through no fault of their own. Yet they are out there trying to survive... only to be judged Never let anyone else determine how you should live. We all have challenges in our lives and we all make mistakes. You never know what someone else may be going through and it's never good to draw conclusions and pass judgement on others. I always ask myself if the choice I made was the right or not. Sometimes I am in middle when it comes to certain situations.

Choices wow this is a big one every choice we make takes us down a certain path in life some which we find our selfs in some amazing places right where we want to be and them some in some not so good places and when that happens we need to pick ourselves up dust ourselves off and learn from it. Learn to make wiser choices and to not put yourself in a position you could possible make a silly or bad decision.

Every choice we make is important? So we ask ourselves: Is it the RIGHT choice? Not every choice is the right one - I for one am I not always right. From the moment we realize our mistakes, there is no turning back the clock.

I consider myself to be always learning, life choices for me are cast upon us and it's how you react to those choices that set you up for success or failure you know i lost my last job through covid i had picked up a cough during the lock downs and although i proved my cough wasn't covid my employer said i wasn't to return to work until it was gone, fair enough i said 3 months later i found out it was a side effect from blood pressure tablets, during that time i started drawing and painting, woodburning and such and i am doing ok selling some things keeping cash in pocket, i made the best of a bad decision and i am very happy for it , i had people telling me to sue and all kinds of crap but i was happy the place of employment offered me my job back which i declined ,live your life the best way you can and bugger the knockers

Never mind judging others. Who are you or me to judge anyone? Just treat others and that includes everyone, no matter their color, race, religion, sex, gay, straight or anything else, the way you want to be treated. That is equally and with respect.

I'm human and it's not my place to judge, and no I'm not always right, however, that being said I believe all lives matter just as GOD believes all lives matter, after all Jesus died to redeem us and that all of us can be saved.

I try not to judge anyone, as I don't know what choices they had - or what choices they thought they had. My exception to this is - when you have any choice, choose to be kind. Where people go out of their way to pick faults, mention negatives from the past, make life difficult for others when there is an option not to do so, then that is where I draw the line, and I will withdraw from those people, especially now that I am older and - I like to think - have more wisdom.

I read a fantastic story recently about this truck driver who saw a man with his dog at a drive-in food place waiting outside... hoping. The truck driver bought him a meal - then offered him a days work. He turned out to be a FANTASTIC WORKER. Thank goodness there are some wonderful, caring non-judgemental people in this world. THANK YOU TO THIS WONDERFUL TRUCK DRIVER AND TO ALL THE OTHERS THAT OFFER HELP TO THESE PEOPLE.

Every one has a story and every story has some one in it. It's what we do or say that really matters as it is a conscience judgment for our own actions. None can be blamed for the way they think or for the way they perceive a situation, this doesn't mean it is is right or it is wrong as it is that persons right to believe in what they choose to. Why do we need validation for some thing? The older I am getting the less validation I need my grief is the same as yours it's no less and it's no more. We don't need to judge as I think people can be too judgemental on themselves.

Once upon a time (as all good stories begin) I would see someone in person and get to know them by their attitudes and if they had any prejudices which did not align with mine. What I mean by that is I have a deep hatred and fear - call it a prejudice - of guns and want absolutely nothing to do with them. Nowadays I tend to have nearly all of my interactions with people on-line in forums such as this. Most people have been pleasant enough but there has also been a fair proportion of “stinkers” who I want nothing to do with. All people are created equal but circumstances in one’s life can alter things drastically and make things difficult. I prefer to treat someone as a blank sheet and build up my impressions, trust and love like a picture. PS: a few more prejudices of mine. I abhor bullies, racists, violent people and emotional blackmailers.

I think most people initially ,quietly judge others simply as a way of separating themselves from what they would or wouldn't do in life. That being reaffirming one's own identity and assessing people as they come towards you... Whether they are safe to be around or not ? Basic human nature. But most people have empathy and understanding so can quickly change their minds once they have listened to someone's story, And it doesn't have to be in many words either, for me I can tell pretty quickly by someone's look in their eyes that I was wrong to have ever thought anything about their circumstances or decisions, l wouldn't have chosen a better path necessarily or even known what to do either?

BLM, congrats on getting a topic! In today's society, people who don't know you judge you on what little info they have about you. That's unfortunate for all of us. I am guilty of that as well since it is a human trail or flaw, I should say. People who judge me don't bother me anymore because I have come to love myself and accept me for me. If they can't accept me, that's on them for being ignorant! The older and wiser I get, the more I realize that I am more often wrong than right, but I still stick with my convictions while also weighing the opinions of others. That is a sign of true wisdom and growth. I love everyone regardless of their decisions because that's their life--not mine. They are living it the best way they can for their situation. When it comes down to it, we are brothers and sisters and need to love, understand, forgive and accept. Love one another and be there to help your fellow man! I think it's a matter of human growth. I always go with my gut instinct and it has never faulted me. A person makes choices and becomes who they are good, bad or otherwise. I judge on the present as that is what is relative. Everyone chooses the road they travel and therefore where they land is who they are.

Sounds like a cop out to me, Experience suggests that 'choices' are just going with the flow whereas deciding on actions produces outcomes that do actually get you onto the ship that eventually gets somewhere

Sometimes, you have to think beyond the square in order to progress.

Here us the solution, yes I do have one! Everyone is always right if they have freely made up there mind to go with their choice. Everyone has to accept that others my have different views. Everyone just needs to get over it and get on with their differences and enjoy the WOW factors when they agree, if the don't die of shock that is!

OMG, BLM! People who think they are always right are annoying because everyone is different. We all like, or dislike, different things, and the only one who has the right to make that decision is ourselves, whether it's right or wrong!
